walk like a normal person

That's right, I just posted my intro and now I am posting my first official blog, it just didn't seem right putting them together.

First, you must know that in a normal week I watch the children of at least two different families, at most it's six families. My main family consists of Sir-whines-a-lot. Sir-whines-a-lot, whiney is a 6 year-old boy. That's right 6! He cries more than any baby I've ever met. I love the kid and I don't like him to be sad, but it get old really quickly. Whiney's little sister is 4, I'll call her princess because she seems to think she is one. Also because I call her princess pretty regularly.

Well, Whiney and Princess like to walk in the most annoying was possible. I mean, some may claim they are just trying to have fun, but I am sure they do it just to annoy me. They like to balance on anything they can find, stop every 5 seconds to stare at something, find the only mud puddle they can and walk right through it, anything to make a 2 minute walk last an hour.

For about a week now since school started I spend every morning and every afternoon as we walk to and from the school telling these kids to 'walk like normal people'. They never listen! I have told both Whiney and princess severl times not to try and walk a straight line along the edge of the curb. Not only does it slow us down, but it is also dangerous. There are cars zooming by, and you're going to balance on the edge of a curb? not smart kids. Today I finally got tired of it. After telling whiney about 5 times to 'walk like a normal person' I finally told him what I had been thinking all week.
"On day you're going to fall off and scrape your face and I'm not going to care because I told you not to do it. I'm just going to laugh and keep walking"

Whiney didn't seem shocked at all, it seems he knows me well enough now to expect these kinds of outbursts. He simply replied "I'm not going to fall" and kept on going. I don't think these kids will ever learn.
